Exploring Exclusives in Deer Valley with St.Regis

I love the outdoors, Tahoe is a gem, however, access can be daunting in the winter, Deer Valley is a quick flight and a short drive- summer and winter. Aspen can present some of the same challenges as Tahoe, winter flight access.

A few summer options: I have exclusive access to some private golf courses for my clients, incredible fly fishing guides and many other outdoor activities (hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, etc). Race car driving at Miller Motor Sports Park near Salt Lake City, where my clients can experience driving race cars and get lessons behind the wheel. Fantastic summer weather adds to the charm.

Winter exclusives:

Diamond Peaks Heli Skiing: I can access a massive private land reserve about an hour’s drive from Park City, and arrange an airlift pickup at the Heber Airport which is 20 minutes away from the St. Regis. They offer complete day of skiing untouched powder skiing with guides, lunch, beverages, equipment, avalanche beacons.

Ski Utah: Interconnect Adventure Tour. This organization has an amazing one-day skiing experience that connects different resorts in the back country best explained from the website: Experience Utah’s Wasatch back country by interconnecting six resorts in one day. Ever wonder what the skiing is like on the other side of the rope? The Ski Utah Interconnect Adventure Tour offers a safe, exciting and unique way to experience the Wasatch mountain back country via routes in and out of up to six different ski resorts. Seasoned guides lead the way to fabulous off-piste turns, incredible views and a day not soon forgotten.

First Tracks at Deer Valley: Because the St. Regis is a ski-in, ski-out property on the slopes of Deer Valley, they have access to a special mountain offering called First Tracks. The chairlift opens for everyone at 9 am, but this is a pre-arranged, private early lift access and guided skiing package from 8-9am before anyone else is allowed on the mountain. It is a groomed-run skiing tour.

Bobsled ride at Utah Olympic Park: Ride a bobsled down the track where the 2002 Winter Olympics were held at speeds up to 80 MPH. 5 miles from the St. Regis.

In the winter enjoy tubing/sledding, cross-country skiing, ice hockey/curling/ice skating, sleigh rides and incredible snowmobiling.

A private dinner at the Viking Yurt is also an incredible experience. http://www.thevikingyurt.com/.

St. Regis is located on the slopes of Deer Valley, the Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort are just 5 minutes away. Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton are just 45 minutes away. The SLC airport is 38 miles from their door and they can arrange all private transportation. Skier valet area with attendants ready to assist and store all gear. Private lessons can be arranged and the instructors will meet the clients on property.

Dining Exclusives:

I can arrange private dining experiences for guests in the chef’s table and the Wine Vault. A daily champagne sabering ritual on the Mountain Terrace near the Garden of Fire each evening.

Owners Suites are available for use by my clients on the upper floors of the hotel.

Travel Miracles- Three in One Day!

I love the challenge of obtaining the impossible for my clients. Lifestyle Management Journeys are designed around enjoying the best experiences, the best hotels…the VV best of everything. Booked or sold out is not an option in my vocabulary!
This week, I was thrilled by a three miracle day. One client, a lover of Shakespeare performances on the London stage agreed he should attend the solidly sold out Lear with  preeminent actor Derek Jacobi. Another couple excited about attending a superb rock concert in an obscure private venue, tickets sold out months ago. Finally, the  lovely play going client departing to London in two days would love to dine at Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. Please, a table a table for four, in a few days?

Success on all fronts, Lear ducat, is of course dipped in gold. The rock concert, with a generous donation to the star charity helped insure a behind the scenes VIP pass for the sold out concert. And oui, divine dinner at Alain Ducasse in London on Saturday night.

My first week in business, my very first client, now one of my favorite travel families, asked if I could obtain 12 reserved seats to Bono in the Rome coliseum. Of course, I said yes!  An overnight fax later, I secured 12 reserved seats, the lucky hotel concierge happily booked my 12 VIP guests in his hotel.

Looking for number four. Love the miracle days!
