Four Seasons Buenos Aires

Several of our client families have utilized spring break to visit colleges with their teenagers. From my point of view, and one of the best aspects, is there seems to be a Four Seasons property in every major college city. I’ve dubbed the excursions the Four Seasons College Tour. Grand FS tour in the last four weeks includes: Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Boston and Philadelphia. The Big Five Tour.

Although they have not touched down in Buenos Aires, I recently met with Julieta Lamas from Four Seasons in Buenos Aires; she shared gorgeous photos of the renovated BSAS hotel. I loved the hotel on my last visit, however the recent forty nine million dollar renovation is now complete; the glamorous refurbishing has taken it over the top. Location was already perfect, a sidewalk away from the best shopping in the exclusive La Recoleta district.

Four Seasons Buenos AiresFour Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires introduced a sensational new restaurant and lively new bar, opened the doors to an eclectic new look in the lobby, and decorated the guest rooms in a modern style that reflects the excitement of the city today, while paying homage to the hotel’s distinguished past and the signature passions of the Argentinian people.

Hot on the heels of the openings of Elena Restaurant and Pony Line Bar, Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires invented a new dining and gathering concept, in Nuestro Secreto, “our secret.” Nestled above the urban bustle in a rooftop garden between the hotel’s modern tower and La Mansión, Nuestro Secreto is a new indoor-outdoor venue next to the pool that offers the traditional Argentinian asado, along with cocktails, cuisine in a casual and relaxed ambiance.

Guests of Pony Line Bar may notice a staircase in one corner, leading mysteriously upward. Venture up to discover Pony Spirit, an intimate space with a central “laboratory” where classic and custom-made cocktails with a focus on local and handmade ingredients are concocted.  It’s a secret haven for those who appreciate fine spirits, cocktails and cigars.  The atmosphere is cozy and club like, characterized by similar styling and décor to the popular Pony Line Bar downstairs, including rich leather wall panels, wood flooring, vintage light fixtures and furnishing sourced at local markets in San Telmo.

Argentina is wrapping up their summer, however autumn is a delightful time to visit, less crowded and still lovely weather. Mendoza, Córdoba and the Lake District are all spectacular in fall: the leaves put on a vibrant and colorful spectacle, temperatures are moderate and the tourists are beginning to thin out.
