Although his glasswork is admired and collected by many, I never really got Chihuly until I experienced his work scattered about the New York Botanical Gardens. There, the sun reflected the brilliant deep hues and and I marveled at the depth and astistry of the free blown glass.  I finally understood his creativity and I was impressed.Revolutionizing the art of blown glass and installing massive architectural exhibitions around the world, he has become as well known as Louis Comfort Tiffany. Chihuly’s work is included in more than 200 museum collections worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Corning Museum of Glass.November 30 is the end date at the Denver Botanical Garden exhibit. Day events and evening tickets are available, but Chihuly Nights is selling out quickly. Artwork is illuminated for a unique nighttime perspective. Even if you have visited the Chihuly exhibition during the day, you will not want to miss this magical experience.
