The 3rd Annual Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic, a Celebratory Experience Highlighting World-Class Chefs Including Todd English, Winemakers, and Two Signature Jack Nicklaus Golf Courses.

Several of the elegant five star hotels in Punta Mita share in the yearly experience, located within Mexico’s most exclusive beach community along the shores of Riviera Nayarit. The Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic, takes place April 11-14, 2013. During this exceptional four-day extravaganza, the properties will be converted into a culinary and golf mecca as esteemed chefs, winemakers and gourmet VIP’s gather to share their remarkable expertise while guests compete on the property’s prestigious Jack Nicklaus golf courses.

Last year’s festivities included gourmet meals and cooking courses taught by distinguished global chefs and restaurateurs, wine and tequila tastings by famed sommeliers, tequila masters and winemakers, elegant galas and celebrations, sunset sailing adventures and The Punta Mita Cup, a two-day golf tournament on Jack Nicklaus’ two signature courses Bahia and Pacifico.

For the upcoming Gourmet & Golf Classic, an impressive roster of talent is confirmed so far. Participants include celebrity chef and restaurateur Todd English; famed Argentinean chef Fernando Trocca; celebrated chef Enrique Olvera of Pujol in Mexico City; famed chocolatier and owner of Garrison’s Confections, Andrew Shotts; Tsuyoshi Murakami, chef and co-owner of the Kinoshita restaurant in San Paulo, Brazil; Thierry Blouet, chef and owner of Café des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Abraham Salum, chef and owner of Salum restaurant in Dallas, Texas; notable sommelier and wine expert, Charlie Arturaola; and Laura Catena, fourth generation Argentinean vintner. With many prominent chefs and wine specialists still to join, the event will bring together the best of the food and wine world.

COURSES
Pacifico Golf Course: This 200-acre, par-72, Jack-Nicklaus-designed course uses an island 194 yards from the coast, as one of the greens. Eight of its holes have a view of the ocean.

Bahia Golf Course: Like the Pacifico, this gorgeous course follows the contours of the coastline, offers additional challenges, lagoons and slopes.
