In my humble opinion, the concept of a Staycation lacks a few essential elements: room service, twice daily housekeeping, and fine luxury linens. I insist on pressed sheets, however I lack luxurious and prestigious Rivolta Carmignani Italian linens. A weekend at the Garden Court Penthouse Suite is less expensive than a set of these lavish linens and avoids the nuisance of relying on someone to press them every day! Sweet slumber is guaranteed on the luxury bedding.
You may not know of the Penthouse Suite at the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto. It is a secret gem of an escape; valet your car, mosey upstairs, collapse and press the room service button to taste the exquisite snacks from new Executive Chef Clive Berkman. Snooze on the private terrace, if you must, finish a bit of work with free wifi, and then stroll the avenues of Palo Alto. The spirited sidewalks don’t roll up until after midnight.
