Men’s Fitness magazine named Sayulita as one of the world’s best locations for Standup Paddle-boarding. Professional and amateur surfers from around the world join in the weekend long event. Award Dinner Fiesta, live music- the village rocks all weekend! The benefit contest donates funds to Reef Check Foundation.

Punta Sayulita developer Kevin Roberts is the organizer and notes the event is growing each year and attracts world-class athletes. Kevin and his partners at Contact Development are in the midst of developing the superb Punta Sayulita residential club community (puntasayulita.com). I visited in September; it looks to be a successful venture in this charming sleepy village, a relaxed and so far slightly undiscovered slice of heaven on the Riviera Nayarit!
